William R. Zalla founded Zalla Construction Company in 1965 after discovering a passion for building quality homes with detailed craftsmanship at a fair cost. Bill’s experience in the financial market as a wealth advisor made him realize that everyone needed guidance and assurance with their investments and one of their biggest investments was their home. Soon thereafter he found his passion was in construction and his financial background gave him the experience he needed to build, grow, and maintain a successful construction business. Bill seized several opportunities to purchase land in strategic locations and soon became a real estate developer. One of his first real estate accomplishments was building the Ria Vista Subdivision in Villa Hills, where he became the first local developer to provide community amenities. He acted as both developer and builder, which allowed him to retain his vision and commitment to personalized service. This carries through to the our many long relationships with homeowners as well as businesses today.
The business quickly grew from a small residential operation to a thriving commercial real estate development company with a very diverse portfolio. Bill bought several commercial sites over the years to develop or re-develop – everything from warehouses to banks to raw land. He developed subdivisions, building high quality homes and landominiums in prestigious areas of Northern Kentucky, then he began growing the portfolio to include apartments, mixed-use properties, retail sites, medical and professional offices, warehouses and industrial sites. Along the way, his determination to provide exceptional service, quality craftsmanship, and value to each customer remained the same. It is those sound principles that continue to be the foundation of the company’s success.
